Attendees must have documentation showing successful completion of the Rope Rescuer Level I course and current Standard First Aid with Level C CPR or equivalent. Copies of Pre-Requisites must be uploaded/attached as part of the application process.

As rope rescuers become more practiced and developed in their fundamental level I skills, it is important to apply them to advanced level II requirements. This 40 hour program combines classroom lecture and hands on practical training to establish individual proficiency in all practical areas. The advanced knowledge and skills taught will allow students to begin working as part of an advanced level rescue team Taught at our modern 32,000 square foot training facility, which is conveniently located at Toronto Pearson International Airport. Our facility offers modern state of the art classrooms and expansive training ground which includes and a five storey rescue training tower.

This course covers all competencies in Chapter 6, Level II of NFPA 1006, including;
•Applying all level I skills to construct and operate mechanical advantage and belay systems for rescuer access and rescuer/patient transportation
•Completing tasks while in elevated/suspended environments
•Packaging and transporting victims in high angle environments
•Perform patient monitoring litter manipulation while functioning as a litter attendant
•Techniques for removal of suspended victims
•Constructing, operating and directing highline systems

Note: This is a physically demanding course requiring participation in lengthy practical training evolutions. Applicants must be in good physical condition.

Course Duration: 5 days

Course Hours: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Fee: Payment must be made when registering for courses. We reserve the right to cancel seven days prior to any course in which the minimum registration is not achieved.

Student must bring: A practical outdoor exercise will be performed as part of this course, please dress according to weather.
