"The FESTI centre is a world class training centre with highly qualified staff located in Canada. Their facilities and professional staff highlight the competencies of the Canadian Fire Service in general and reflect positively on Canada." The Canadian Police Research Centre received a contract from the federal government to manage funds for research that would benefit the three emergency response services. ARA Safety made a grant submission to partner with a fire service organization to evaluate the effectiveness of the ARA Safety Pro™ device to suppress basement fires and thus substantially reduce the risk to fire fighters responding to such fires. This project was funded by the Canadian Police Research Centre. The project team wishes to thank the Fire and Emergency Services Training Institute (FESTI) personnel for their assistance in completing the requirements of this project. In particular, the team wishes to thank Chief Training Officer Brian Ross for his professionalism and ability to find resources needed for the successful completion of this project.

ARA Safety, ARA Safety Pro™ testing -

Doing my Pre-Service introduction tour I couldn't believe how well the facility was presented and the level of training that was available. When doing my research for Pre Service fire programs, I wanted to select the best. I researched a bunch of other programs but nothing could compare to the level of training and reputation that FESTI had. Doing my introduction tour I couldn't believe how well the facility was presented and the level of training that was available. During my time at FESTI not only did learn from the best, I met a lot of great people as well. With the 40 acres of training grounds that we had at our disposal, we were always kept on our toes and motivated to learn. FESTI’s Pre Service program gets you where you need to be in a short amount of time. I couldn't picture myself being at a better training facility.

Emerson Connor, FESTI, Pre-Service student -

This past fall, I had the pleasure of attending FESTI to participate in live burn, structural firefighting training. As coincidence would have it, exactly a week after attending FESTI, my fire department responded to a house fire in which the fire behavior was nearly identical to a training scenario I had participated in at FESTI. As the nozzle man at this fire, I put into practice what I learned at FESTI and the fire was rapidly brought under control and with very minimal water damage. The top notch instruction I received at FESTI allowed me to perform my very best at that fire. FESTI’s instructors, professionalism, and facilities are second to none, and I would highly recommend that everyone who is serious about their training to check out the courses offered by FESTI.
